Dr. Stephen Maddox is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology, holding a Lifetime Certificate. A native of Alabama, he received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia. After serving in the US Navy for three years, he received his Doctor of Medicine from the University Of Alabama School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock in 1983, and then joined in practice Dr. Hugh B. Praytor, the founding physician of Dermatology Associates of Montgomery. Dr. Maddox is published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Archives of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Medical Association of the State of Alabama, and the Alabama Dermatological Society. He is a Clinical Associate Professor with the University of Alabama Health Center Montgomery.
